Focus on Youth (FOY) is a community-based, eight session group intervention that provides youth with the skills and knowledge they need to protect themselves from HIV and other STDs. The curriculum, founded on the Protection Motivation Theory, uses fun, interactive activities such as games, role plays and discussions to convey prevention knowledge and skills.

Every 9 1/2 minutes someone new in the United States is infected with HIV. Before we can stop any epidemic, we first have to recognize the magnitude of the disease. HIV is still a threat across the United States and despite new therapies, people with HIV still develop opportunistic infections that lead to the deaths of men, women, and children. This global epidemic still a significant health issue that must be addressed.

H.O.M.E. conducted an HIV Awareness class at Strong Tower Ministries on Wednesday evening to a very captive and receptive audience of both adults and youth in attendence. We were not only blessed by grace, but by the establishment of a Strong Tower partnership that will work together to spread the word for a Positive Cause. Thank you all for your support.
